Modelling Waterlogging Impacts on Crop Growth: A Review of Aeration Stress Definition in Crop Models and Sensitivity Analysis of APSIM

چکیده

Currently, crop physiological responses to waterlogging are considered only in a few models and limited way. Here, we examine the process bases of seven contemporary developed model growth waterlogged conditions. The representation plant recovery these is over-simplified, while adaptation or phenotypic plasticity due often not considered. Aeration stress conceptualisation varies from use simple multipliers equations describing transpiration biomass complex linkages aeration-deficit factors with root growth, nitrogen fixation. We recommend further studies investigating more holistic impacts multiple stresses caused by behaviours driven soils climate. A sensitivity analysis using one (a developer version APSIM) default parameters showed that has greatest impact on photosynthesis, followed phenology leaf expansion, suggesting need for improved linking carbon assimilation. Future should compare ability simulate real situ effects consistent experimental data initialisation, calibration validation. conclude future modelling must focus improving extent which soil porosity, texture, organic plant-available water affect stress, ensuing temporal phenology, yield.

Parameter sensitivity analysis of crop growth models based on the extended Fourier Amplitude Sensitivity Test method

Sensitivity analysis (SA) has become a basic tool for the understanding, application and development of models. However, in the past, little attention has been paid to the effects of the parameter sample size and parameter variation range on the parameter SA and its temporal properties. In this paper, the corn crop planted in 2008 in the Yingke Oasis of northwest China is simulated based on met...

Modelling of Crop Reference Evapotranspiration: A Review

Efficient irrigation water management requires a good quantification of evapotranspiration. The precise estimation of water requirement of crop is very important factor in the application of irrigation design and scheduling. Water relation model are essential component of all crop model because of critical role of water status has in determining growth, productivity and produce quality. Irrigat...

Crop Growth Simulation Models

1. Introduction Systems approach has been used by engineers since the 1950's for the study of complex and dynamic processes but their use by scientists working in biological fields is relatively recent. A system is defined as any well delineated part of reality which may contain a number of interrelated elements forming the systems structure. These functioning components interact in various way...

Climate change impacts on crop yield, crop water productivity and food security – A review

This paper provides a comprehensive review of literature related to the assessment of climate change impacts on crop productivity using climate, water and crop yield models. The existing studies present that climate change models with higher spatial resolution can be a way forward for future climate projections. Meanwhile, stochastic projections of more than one climate model are necessary for ...
